Should I take any extra precautions when towing?
If your vehicle is equipped with a tow package, no precautions need to be taken. If not, an external transmission cooler should be installed. The transmission cooler lowers the operating temperature of the transmission. For every twenty degrees that you lower the temperature, it increases the life of the transmission up to 50%.
